Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO), you will be responsible for the planning, growth and management of the .com channel across our top retail partners in mass, club, drug and department store, and expanding the ecommerce presence of the brands globally. FGXI is well-established in the brick-and-mortar commercial space and we have an online presence across hundreds of retailers. We believe that a dedicated leader can build that online presence significantly. This is part of a larger initiative to build out our digital leadership team.

Initially, you'll focus on the largest potential channels. In these customers' stores, we provide almost all of the stock on the shelves. As you well know, however, ecommerce requires a very different approach, and you will set the precedent for how we work with these customers to drive ecommerce success.

Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Working alongside the commercial business and global marketing teams with the support of the ecommerce SMEs to plan, deploy and measure omnichannel programs including paid search, eCRM, display advertising for priority products and lines.
  • Serving as point of contact for the customer buyer and digital teams alongside the account manager to ensure digital growth and alignment with the customer’s overarching business strategy.
  • Working with the CXO and commercial leadership team to project, own and grow revenue and assist in the development of our 12-18 month strategic plan.
  • Partnering with digital business and international leads to leverage ecommerce as part of the European transformation and potential LATAM expansion, as part of a larger strategy to explode digital.
You'll work with strong existing resources in the Commercial organization, such as digital marketing and analytics. Depending on growth, you may build a small team of direct reports.

Your ecommerce expertise will be essential, but just as important will be your leadership and interpersonal skills. You will be entering a somewhat traditional arena as a change agent. Both internally and externally, that arena places a high value on relationships, including handshakes and face-to-face meetings. To achieve your goals you'll need to establish yourself as a visible resource who can help stakeholders succeed and grow their businesses.

You'll join in the early stages of substantial changes. If you're the person we're looking for, you have experience managing change, including influencing and motivating others. In addition, there will be a degree of ambiguity; you'll need to be comfortable with that, even as you build the structures that will replace ambiguity.

In addition, to be an outstanding Director, Ecommerce, you will:
  • Combine creativity and analytical thinking in solving problems and overcoming challenges.
  • Achieve goals independently while also contributing as a team player.
  • Keep a constant eye out for ways to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Own the ecommerce big picture, but also pay attention to details.
