  • Track record of developing strategies to enhance a consumer brands' position in the marketplace
  • Project management experience, preferably in a complex, matrix organization with a multi-regional scope
  • Digital experience with a digital-first mindset
  • Strong understanding of social media; hands-on social media experience is an advantage
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite programs
  • Licensing experience preferred
  • Ability to travel on occasion

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, as Assistant Brand Manager, you will be responsible for leading global brands, categories and/or initiatives that deliver on overall short and long-term marketing strategies which are designed to support FGXI’s growth globally via our consumer-centric, digital-first emphasis.

You will join a lean Digital team of seven responsible for digital and product marketing and e-commerce, and work on a plethora of projects and wear a variety of hats. While you'll interact with the team daily, you'll also collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with Trade Marketing Managers, Product Development, Marketing, Legal, and Graphic Design teams. Additionally, you will work with Ad and PR agencies, digital media and other external partners. 

Specifically, you will:
  • Lead strategy for global brand launches and product development, working with cross-functional teams for brands in the scope of this role (e.g. readers and sport glasses).
  • Lead the development of global marketing materials, tools and resources for global sales teams, focusing on omnichannel marketing executions (retail instore and digital) to support brand launches.
  • Develop and execute digital-first launches for D2Cs (fostergrant.com or gargoyles.com) or retailer.com.
  • Provide all marketing campaigns and assets needed to Trade Marketing Managers to execute on retail and retailer.com launches.
  • Manage the digital and social media presence of the brands while working to increase followers, engagement and conversion.
    Work with cross-functional teams in developing brand vision and positioning to achieve overall business goals for the brand
  • Assist in the development of consumer research studies to gain consumer understanding and insights on our product categories, specific new product introductions, brand awareness and effectiveness of overall brand message and experience;
  • Develop and maintain competitive analysis and profiles of key competitors by conducting periodic retail visits and website analysis.
  • Interact with internal and external licensor partners to develop plans and obtain licensor approvals.
